ABOUT ME

About Me

I am a Mom to three all grown up boys. So, that means I am an empty nester… And it also means I am a Mom in transition. I get sad and cry sometimes because I miss my boys being at home with me. I miss hearing their voice and seeing their smiles regularly. I miss talking about our favorite sports teams while we make our breakfast. And you know what? I am figuring it out. I take the sad with the happy. Because it is all good.

Raising my boys, there were times I didn’t like being a Mom. It was hard. We have experienced some pretty big challenges and dealt with some things I wouldn’t wish on anybody. But most of the time, I loved being a Mom (and still do!) We experienced many wonderful times as well. I love my family.

I’ve been married to my husband for 36 years! We got married on Valentine’s Day. We have a lot in common. Both of us are athletic, love the outdoors, University of Utah football, the NFL and the Utah Jazz.

I am a “Gramma” to the cutest little boy and girl. I love being a Gramma! I don’t think I am old enough to be a Gramma, but I totally am. I think being a Gramma is the best thing ever!

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a cute Teddy Bear dog named Layla.

I have experienced loss in my life. My Dad died of a sudden heart attack when I was 21. This was the worst day of my life! My heart was shattered. But little by little the pieces came together again only there are cracks and gaps in my heart. It is not the same. Its better. Two of my sisters have passed away from cancer. My mother died on Christmas Eve five years ago and my second dad has also passed. Needless to say, I am a person that values moments, loving and being with my loved ones. I have been through a refiners fire.

Now that my boys are grown, I decided to heed the call to become a Life Coach. I was drawn to this work. When I was contemplating if I should enroll in The Life Coach School, the whisper that came to my mind was that I was under utilizing myself and the answer was Yes. This is your next step!

I certified with The Life Coach School. I then became an Advanced Certified Life Coach with Jody Moore. I have my own coaching  business, Marci Owen Coaching and I am a coach for Jody Moore in her Be Bold program. Both are dreams come true for me!
